To ensure that softness reigns supreme among your garments for as long as possible, we advise less frequent washing, and rinsing in clear water.
Our fabrics and accessories are rigorously selected to ensure that they are both comfortable and comforting every time you use them.
We put them through several different quality tests so that we can give you the best possible care advice for looking after your chosen garments.
Softness is at the very heart of our promises and each garment is created with the utmost care to bring you clothes that make you feel good -and do you good.
Air your clothes to help any odours to disperse
Remove any dust using a clothes roller or textile brush, depending on the fabric
If you mark your garment, wash it with a little water and gentle detergent, rinse with plenty of clear water and dry it flat
It is best to do up buttons and zips before putting your garments in the washing machine
Where possible, opt for drying outdoors in the fresh air
Use good-quality clothes hangers to avoid mis-shaping garments
For natural, living fabrics, we need to learn how to live with them...
Creating the softest of fabrics is a promise we take seriously, season after season....
In winter, the soft texture of Le Chat fabrics often comes from a brushed finish, created by gently brushing the surface and lifting the fibres to obtain a deeper texture, greater softness and even more comfort. Suchfinishes are achieved through specific processes that are carefully carried out, to obtain fabrics that are even more wonderful to wear.
Because most of our fabrics are from natural sources, pilling or bobbling can appear in areas of friction, and if this occurs you can simply use a suitable textile brush or lint remover to bring your garment back to its supersoft glory.
By closely following our care instructions, you’ll enjoy our soft fabrics for as long as possible. Even so, please remember that any contact with water can cause these fabrics to shrink a little, despite our most rigorous recommendations, proo that natural fabrics react to their environment.
